Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to Accessible Care

Worthington Family Dental is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all of our users.

Website Accessibility

We work to ensure that our website content is accessible and user-friendly. Below are some tips to help improve your browsing experience:

Visual Assistance

If you are having difficulty viewing web pages, the following tips can help:

  • Use your computer to read web pages aloud (screen reader software)
  • Use the keyboard to navigate screens
  • Increase text size using your browser settings (Ctrl/Cmd + or -)
  • Magnify your screen
  • Change background and text colors in your browser settings
  • Make your mouse pointer more visible (available in Windows and Mac accessibility settings)

Audio Assistance

For users who are deaf or hard of hearing:

  • Closed Captioning: Videos on our site include closed captioning when available, allowing you to follow along by displaying words on the screen as they are spoken.
  • Volume Controls: All devices and media players have volume controls that can be adjusted to improve your experience.

Keyboard and Mouse Alternatives

If you need an alternative to using the mouse or keyboard, try utilizing speech recognition software such as Dragon Naturally Speaking. These programs use voice controls to allow users to navigate web pages and other services, taking the place of a mouse or keyboard.

Office Accessibility

We are committed to providing accessible care to all patients when feasible. Please note the following about our office location:

  • Our office is located on the second floor of the building at Suite 201
  • Please note: There is no elevator access to our office. Stairs are required to reach our suite.
  • If you have mobility concerns, please contact us before your appointment to discuss possible accommodations or alternative arrangements
  • Large print forms available upon request
  • Staff trained to assist patients with various accessibility needs

Accessibility Standards

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA standards. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities.
